Course components

Lecture videos

These are pre-recorded 5-15 minutes videos on topics related to the course. Most courses have videos for nearly every topic, and transcripts are available for each one.

Articles

Sometimes lecture videos will be complemented by written articles on key subjects. These may appear in text form within the platform itself, as pdfs to download, or as links to websites.

Learning exercises

These are learning games used to help you remember the course content and prepare you for the Learning Assessments (next item). They are not graded. Generally, every lecture or article will have at least one learning exercise.

Learning assessments

These are the graded portions of the course. They contain standard multiple choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions. There is one Learning Assessment per module and one Final Learning Assessment for the entire course.

You must earn a 90% or better to pass each of them. Don't worry, though. If you participate in all the Learning Exercises, you will know most of the answers by heart (all assessment questions come from the exercises), and you will pass these easily.

Many modules provide additional material to help you in learning the course content or using it in ministry. These sections are not graded.
